Job Description

Look beyond the numbers and be a part of the transition to (IFRS) International Financial Reporting Standards! This position is resulting from consistent growth and will allow you to be an internal consultant and shape the future of our client's reporting structure.

Responsibilities of this role will include partnering with a variety of different business units and departments to compare and contrast current Canadian GAAP reporting to the upcoming International Financial Reporting Standards. You will be required to understand the subtleties of products and business units, understand process , analyze reporting requirements, identify pro’s and con’s while making a recommendation of ongoing treatment that is the best treatment for the aggregate organization. This position will expose you to the senior finance team and provide an opportunity (although not a requirement) for travel.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be recently designated or in the final stages of a professional designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
• Have a thorough understanding of the current Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Be naturally inquisitive and challenge assumptions by investigating all alternatives
• Enjoy being a part of a fluid environment that supports related units on an as needed basis
