Responsibilities:

Develop project scoping documents that provide sufficient detail to allow accurate estimating and clear direction to an EPCM contractor.

Provide technical direction and answer questions of the EPCM contractors.

Review drawings and specifications to ensure eachproject meets acceptable standards for operability, functionality, maintainability, reliability, durability and safety.

Liaise with internal departments and customers to resolve technical and project issues.
Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications for this position are as follows:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifies for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members and contractors.

Able to take a leadership role for setting standards and resolving technical issues.

Able to work both independently and as a member of a team, providing specialized technical advice and guidance to others.

Creative, innovative and skilled at problem solving.

Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues on multiple projects simultaneously.

Preference will be given to individuals who possess Transmission utility technical experience.
